I have one more week and I will be done! It is so hard to believe. I am so lucky to have family and friends who have had my back all through this semester. My oldest brother Scott and his wonderful wife Becky are the ones I am living with while I am going to college. I was talking with my mom earlier today and I told her how I am so glad I live close to family. I probably would not have been able to make it with out them. I love and thank my brother and sister in law so much for opening their home and letting me live with them while I am going through this new chapter in my life. </div><br /><div>When I first started college a couple of months ago, I was a nervous wreck. I did not know what to expect. But while all that was going on in my mind, my life verse popped into my head; Phillipians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strenghens me." And that verse is so true. I was able to accomplish my first semester of college, because of Jesus Christ. </div><br /><div>I have learned this semester; You can accomplish anything as long as you keep your eyes on Jesus!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5412623692597528370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 243px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 152px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghmKy1b3x7Yij5RF9MooOLC14JDAKu7XqZNYj0gh7M1Y4gojbqfjKO-jE6eliheH9E3HpjBdax5vpw8RabVbzKES4GSacOsvMVbi3WlLCQNVQ6LYxp8W5zTryDU3SqD_IqK-dBvYTwOIY/s320/fixeyesonjesus.jpg" border="0" /></div>Alyssa Pevehousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04138779988499116094noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972130250176460286.post-79168424346768715252009-11-10T08:22:00.000-08:002009-11-10T09:51:50.860-08:00Gods path for MY lifeOne thing that I have had to learn since moving away for college is, I cannot run my life on my own, God has to be the one in charge. God is a mighty god and he will bless you when you let him be the light in your life. When I moved here I needed a car. The day I moved to Arkansas on June 6, God led the Edwards family into my life. They are a loving family that go to the church that I am at now, Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church. They not only had a car for me but they gave it to me for free!! I was blown away. The only way something like that could have happened was if God was in it. And God was! That was just one sign that showed me that I was on the right path God has set for me. The summer was coming to an end and I realized with school approaching I needed a job. There were many places for me to look but I did not know where to start. So I told myself I would wait till the weekend was over and I would start looking the next week. That sunday God brought a wonderfuly lady into my life, to whom we are really good friends to this day. Her name is Mandy; that sunday she came up to me and ask if I was looking for a job, and if I was there was an opening at the job she worked at. It was a Chiropractors Office. She said it was a part time job and that they would be very flexible with my school schedule. I thought to myself you have got to be kidding me, I was just about to start job hunting and this lady just by chance came to me and asked me about if I was looking for a job. All I could think and say was, "Thank you Lord!" I now work at Chiropractic Care Clinic in Searcy, AR. My first day was July 15, 2009.<br /><br />God has shown me that if I will just let him take control of my life, he will lead me in the right direction and will also let his blessing rain upon me.<br /><br />"God will never leave me, nor forsake me" Hebrews 13:5Alyssa Pevehousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04138779988499116094noreply@blogger.com2
